This is a completely renovated family hotel in the heart of Vianden (36 km from Luxembourg city).

Hotel Victor Hugo Vianden features a new wellness centre with bio sauna, infrared cabin, massage shower, solarium and relaxation room. There is a romantic restaurant with an open fireplace and a gastronomic restaurant with a view of the castle. Enjoy the view of the Viandener Burg on the quiet terrace in the hotel garden. In the summer the hotel serves delicious grill specialities and will be pleased to let you taste the typical Luxembourgian dishes.

Food & beverage

The hotel has a cosy gastronomic restaurant with an open fireplace. The terrace is very calm and has a children's playground and a barbecue in the summertime.

New since 2004, the romantic Esmeralda restaurant with a view on the river. This is the best known kitchen in the area with regional specialities cooked by the skilled chef. The restaurant looks forward to welcoming you.

As a guest of the hotel you will receive a 10% discount in the restaurant.

Room information

All of the rooms come with standard facilities. Some of the comfort rooms come with a balcony (at an additional charge per night).

Area information

Enjoy the many walking routes in the forest directly around Vianden, or visit the heated swimming pool and its slides and children's pool. There are also many mountain bike routes and possibilities for canoeing. On request the hotel can organise mountain bike tours of the local area.

the location is very good, near unpayment area parking, opposite to the castle

smoking everywhere (exept the no smoking room we asked for), had no soap in the bathroom, cold atmosphere, no internet for guests.

I loved the one man band ! One person seemed to be doing everything-and doing it very well i must add.The guy was electric !! Special thanks to his efforts.We will return.

Nothing wrong at all.Like myself it could use a make over but for value we are very happy.The combination of the food was fantastic.

The hotel is centrally located in Vianden and seems very popular with local people, always a good sign. Our room was very clean , spacious and quiet. Both the Breakfasts and Main Meals were top class. The hotel allowed us to park our motorbikes off road even though it says it has no parking facilities. We will be returning.

Two of us booked on seperate reservations and because we turned up together the hotel produced one bill. Not a clever move

zeer attent personeel, uitstekende keuken

Gezien de ligging aan de hoofdstraat was er lawaai van voorbijgaand verkeer. Dit was alleen te verhelpen door het raam dicht te doen.

J'ai beaucoup aimé la capacité d'adaptation du responsable, qui s'est immédiatement mis à notre disposition quand il s'est aperçu que notre réservation était pour deux chambres deux personnes alors que le fax de booking ne lui confirmait que la réservation d'une seule chambre.

De kamer was keurig, allen geen hele gordijnen, maar een rolgordijn., Er stonden 2 lekkere stoeltjes, TV had 4 x 10 dezelfde zenders.

Je zat soms al tien minuten op het terras, voor er eens iemand kwam bedienen. Ik heb veel klanten weg zien lopen naar andere terassen. Ze letten gewoon niet op. "s ochtends een niet zo nette serveerster in een legging met t-shirt, geen horecakleding dus. 1 dag koffie zo zwart als teer gehad. Wel genoeg te eten. Eten 's avonds niet zo lekker. Veel te zoute tomatensoep, aangebrande slappe schnitzel.

Heel vriendelijke ontvangst, mooie kamer, propere badkamer. Het ontbijt was lekker en verzorgd. Dit is voor ons het 3° hotel in Vianden en dit is een aanrader!

De beloofde fles wijn bij het gastronomisch diner hebben we niet gekregen, spijtig, maar het diner was wel heerlijk!!

La gentillesse du personnel et la rapidité du service .Les repas du soir sont très bien servi et bien présenté.

Het was goed om te slapen(matrassen in orde) min punten verouderde douche kop (lek) en geen airco

Eten was matig,1 soort confituur ,honing.2dagen zelfde vlees en kaas.Hard gekookte eieren op geen meer!2 de dag 15min wachten pistolets.Buffet aan de magere kant !!
